Job #141668 for
(David Osman)
2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor
Invoice #26211
Technician:
None
Concern:
DIAGNOSTIC TEST - OIL LEAK - TECHNICIAN CHECKED AND FOUND THERE TO BE A LARGE LEAK COMING FROM THE OIL FILTER. THE FILTER WAS LOOSE, WE TIGHTENED IT DOWN AND IT SEEMED TO FIX THE LEAK. TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDS AN OIL CHANGE SINCE THE ENGINE OIL IS SO LOW. AFTER THE OIL CHANGE, WE CLEANED UP THE LEAK AND RE-DROVE THE VEHICLE TO FIND A SECOND OIL LEAK COMING FROM THE EGR VALVE, IT IS SLIGHTLY WET BUT NOT FORMING DRIPS. THE EGR VALVE IS LOCATED IN A SPOT WHERE IF IT HAS BEEN LEAKING FOR A WHILE IT WILL EVENTUALLY LEAK ONTO THE EXHAUST CREATING A BURNING OIL SMELL. TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDS KEEPING AN EYE ON THE OIL LEVEL TO GET A BETTER IDEA OF THE SEVERITY OF THE EGR LEAK.
